Changes to the BSB Training Package

The new changes for the business services training package have been released by the Department of Education and Training. These changes will restructure the training package and add new units for various BSB qualifications, allowing it to meet the required NSSC Standards for Training Packages by December 2015.

The Business Services Training Package includes qualifications and units of competency that are recognised nationally by industry and registered training organisations. As there are 61 qualifications included in BSB, ranging from Certificate I to Graduate Diplomas, there are many changes being made and some of them could be applicable to your certifications.

Basically, the changes have resulted in new units being added to various BSB qualifications, specifically the BSB40812 Certificate IV in Frontline Management, BSB41513 Certificate IV in Project Management and the BSB51067 Diploma of Quality Auditing.

It is important that you keep yourself and your employees up to date with the latest qualifications so they are best equipped to face the increasing pressure of the uncertain economy. The Business Services Training Package provides the core business skills and knowledge required for high performing workplaces and business success.

To help increase the ease of your qualification upgrade and reduce downtime, Trainwest has created a self-paced upgrade program, allowing you to upskill and maintain your competitive edge. The self-paced upgrade will cost $300 electronically and $350 for hard copy books and can be completed without the need to attend face to face training.

In particular the Frontline Management and Diploma of Management upgrades will enable your employees to strengthen their leadership qualities and increase their productivity.

The units that have been released and need to be completed to update your qualification are:

  • BSBLDR401 Communicate effectively as a workplace leader
  • BSBLDR402 Lead effective workplace relationships
  • BSBLDR403 Lead team effectiveness
  • BSBWOR404 Develop work priorities
  • BSBRSK401 Identify risk and apply risk management processes

Trainwest is also proud to be one of the first registered training organisations  in Western Australia to deliver the below latest qualifications.
