The training course covers the skills and knowledge needed for those working in operational roles where they are required to perform work at heights including:

  • Working Safely at Heights
  • Develop Risk Assessments and Hazard Elimination
  • Safe Work Method Statements For Working Safely At Heights
  • Relevant Regulations, Legislation and Australian Standards
  • Anchor Fall Protection, Correct Equipment Selection, Training and Use

If you conduct or supervise tasks that are carried out at a height then you will find this course to be valuable to the safety of your workplace.

Working Safely at Heights is directed at fall prevention rather than fall arrest. This course
is designed to provide workers with the skills and knowledge to work safely in any height location such as:

  • General Construction
  • Maintenance
  • Mining
  • Large Factories
  • Other work environments where it is possible to fall from one level to another

Delivery

Face to face: All training is delivered at Trainwest Industry Skills Training Centre.

On-site training and VOCs: Trainwest is able to come to your workplace to conduct training with your employees. In addition, Verification of Competencies can be delivered on-site and at our training facility. Please contact 1300 938 411 for available dates and pricing.

Refresher: Assessment is also available for those students needing to update the certification.

Fees

Payments are accepted via direct debit, credit card/EFTPOS or cash 

Face to face training – $145

Combine with TLILIC0005 Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more) – $605

Combine with RIIWHS202D Enter and work in confined spaces – $249

Construction Training Fund Rebate

CTF assists the building and construction industry to remain efficient and competitive by supporting the training of workers in the industry. Subsidies are available to reduce training costs making it easier for eligible businesses and employees to access the training they need when they need it.

The CTF Supplementary Skills Program provides support for eligible trainees across a range of approved Construction Skills, Occupational Health & Safety and Industry Skills courses.
