Sharing anecdotes can help you connect with your employees, has the capacity to move people and build relationships.     Great leaders are able to provide empathy for the individual, team and client without losing sight of the big picture.     Leaders who show persistence and mental toughness have the capacity to bounce back. Having the foresight to persist and keep working towards a goal even when the journey is difficult will motivate your team to rally. Setting a good example for your workers is pivotal as if you give up, they will also. It is a leader’s job to provide inspiration and drive the company forward through tough times, so you can come out the other side stronger than ever.

    Possessing an agile mind and leadership style is becoming an important skill in today’s world.  The ability to be flexible to the situation and implement different leadership styles, such as participative, delegative, consultative and directive shows great management of your company and leadership agility. Leaders that possess the ability to harness more styles have greater success in reaching a wider audience.
  7. Courage
    Strong leaders need to have courage to chase their visions, defend their ideas and solidify their place in the industry. Defending a position at board level, winning the hearts and minds of the executive team by showing conviction, staying the course, challenging the status quo and doing the right thing requires sheer courage.
