Construction Training Fund

The Construction Training Fund is made available to organisations and their staff within the construction industry to offset the cost of up-skilling staff, and to provide support to develop the required skills in the construction industry. The Construction Training Fund can meet up to 70% of the costs of a wide range of approved short training courses (and up to 80% for training delivered in regional areas). All courses supported by the Construction Training Fund are delivered by qualified training personnel through Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).

Construction Training Fund – How to claim?

Individual claim

  • Complete and sign the Individual Higher Qualification claim form
  • Provide a copy of tax invoice from the training provider
  • Provide a copy of statement of attainment
  • If unemployed, complete an Individual work history declaration form and provide minimum six months of work history within 12 months prior to course commencement

Employer claim

  • Complete and sign the Employer Higher Qualification claim form (all course participants must complete the participant information section)
  • Provide a copy of tax invoice from the training provider
  • Survey forms to be completed by all course participants
  • Provide a copy of statement of attainment
  • Attach a tax invoice from the company to Construction Training Fund with subsidy amount plus GST.
